She recently gave birth to her first child, Roman. And S Club 7's Tina Barrett has admitted she was quite disappointed as she was unable to have a natural birth; baby Roman was delivered by C-section following 12-hours in labour.
She told OK! magazine: "I felt quite disappointed because I wanted to do it all naturally. It turned out that Roman was struggling to get out because he was quite big". However, that disappointment soon turned to pure joy when Tina set eyes on her little boy, who weighed in at 8lb 12oz.
"I remember thinking that he looked so perfect," she said. "I cried! It was a really emotional moment, it really hit me that I was a mum".
The singer isn't staying away from work for long, with a new single 'All Fired Up' set for release in November. She explained: "I love doing music, it’s always been my passion, so to be able to release my own stuff is a dream come true. I co-wrote it and it’s quite personal, so I do feel a bit exposed, but I’ve been in the business for a long time so I’m used to the nerves you get before releasing new music. If it goes well, perhaps I’ll release some more stuff".
Posing for a cute snap in the magazine, Tina was joined on a bed by her boyfriend Paul Cashmore as she cradled baby Roman. Paul placed a loving hand on Tina's knee, as the raven-haired beauty smiled into the camera. Tina met Paul back in 2012 on the set of Russell Grant’s charity music video for The Clapping Song. Earlier this year she told OK Magazine: "Until Paul I hadn’t really met a man I wanted to have children with".
Tina gave birth to Roman back in June. She announced the news on Twitter and wrote: "Proud and excited to announce the arrival of my beautiful baby boy Roman".
Tina also admitted that she wanted her S Club 7 bandmates Jo O’Meara , Rachel Stevens and Hannah Spearitt to be her bridesmaids if she ever ties the knot.
